Any place you love, in raised color

Mountains and rivers, a coastline and its sea floor, your town street by street, or the pilot’s chart: pick a place and a style, and it’s drawn as a raised, full-color map for your 3D printer. Design and preview it free, then download the print file. No printer? We’ll make it for you, framed and delivered.

How it works

Make your map

1

What printer do you have?

This decides how big your map can be.

How many spools can it hold at once?

Nozzle size

Not sure? It’s 0.4 mm unless you changed it.

How does that work?

Bambu Studio can save a project file that lists your printer, nozzle and the spools in your AMS. We read it so you don’t have to.

  1. Open Bambu Studio on your computer.
  2. In the Filament list on the left, click the small sync button so it reads your AMS colors.
  3. Click File, then Save Project As, and save it to your Desktop.
  4. Come back here, click Or load all this from Bambu Studio, and pick that file.

2

What kind of map, and how big?

How much ground?

How many plates?

Plates fit together edge to edge. Start with a shape, then build on the map: tap a + beside the shape to add a plate there, or tap a plate to drop it. Drag the map to move the whole thing.

      How colors print

Terrain relief needs every color loaded at once. Spool swaps puts each group of colors on its own flat step and gives you planned pauses to change spools, so any number of colors prints with any setup, even with no AMS.

        Map scale

Each FAA chart prints at its own published scale. Terminal Area Charts cover the busiest airports and the helicopter charts cover a few big metro areas and the Gulf Coast, so those appear when your box is on one.

        Plates

Tile larger maps across several plates. Each plate is its own 3MF and they share one height datum, so the edges line up.

        Filaments

Each slot becomes one filament. Assign chart colors to slots below.
